April, 13, 2006 — The Center for Arts-Based Learning (CABLe), a division of The SchoolWorks Lab, Inc., is a new partnership with 140 public schools in the Bronx, the district office in the Bronx, the arts-liasons, arts education providers, and international corporations to insure Quality Arts in Education in the Bronx. Founded in May of 2005 in New York City, the Center is dedicated to improving education in schools and districts across the country by integrating arts-based content and processes into teaching and learning across the curriculum. It achieves this mission by supporting innovative arts in education Partnerships between schools and cultural organizations and by contributing to the national dialogue among arts and education practitioners, researchers and Policy makers. |
