EduCrate(tm) classrooms are made from recycled shipping containers, and they come complete with doors and windows, heating and air conditioning, chairs and tables, black or whiteboards, classroom supplies, and backpacks that are filled with notebooks and other essential student school supplies.  The EduCrate(tm) can be customized for use as a science lab or an art room, and an array of upgrade options are available, including installed restrooms, electric generators, and wireless computer networks. We can even send support personnel (teachers and Professional Development staff).

The SchoolWorks Lab, Inc., contracts with a large shipping container company in New Jersey, next to the intermodal port of New York City, to meet the needs of customers by offering all types of intermodal equipment, exapnded service options, and enhanced customer care in modular building requirements.

To every order for new classrooms, or even entire schools, we can add to the design of the shipping containers: DOORS: Side roll-up, garage, personnel, double swing, submarine, and full side doors. WINDOWS: Windows and skylights for low cost light. FLOORS: Spill proof steel floors for leakage containment. LIGHTING: Explosion proof lighting. INTERIORS: Interior partitions of wood, steel or fencing material. ELECTRICITY: Electrical hookup for lighting, heating, telephone outlets, computer jacks, air conditioning, & fans. FINISHING TOUCHES: desks, shelving units, racks, paint cabinets, paneling & more. These containers can be transported by rail, truck, ship or plane and we can arrange delivery domestically or internationally. Contact us to discuss an Intermodal structure priced and fabricated to meet your needs. Prices for the units pictured are upon request.
